Ocean Themed Classroom

Hi all! I've been working in my classroom updating some of the bulletin boards, sprucing up some older ones, and creating more of a beachy theme with some hula skirts. Here's what I've come up with so far!

For the "Sea What We're Up To" board, I used some of Eric Carle's "Shades of Blue" borders on the outside perimeter of the wall, blue fadeless paper, light aqua bordette, and glitter scrap booking paper. I created the scalloped/waves at the bottom by simply cutting two types of glitter paper. I also used Schoolgirl Style's banner printables and ideas for the hula skirts around the tables. Check out her site for more classroom ideas/themes!

LOVE the batik fabric! Not sure what will go here...maybe science or sight words...
Are you updating your classroom? What themes are you using?

  2. I love it! Can you come and decorate my room now?!?!
I will definitely be updating my room since I am moving school's. Instead of a theme, I am going to choose a color pallet and work within that. I want to use the flags/pennants, poms, etc. Right now I'm leaning towards teal, sea foam green, burgundy, dark coral, tan. I wish I could post the photo for my inspiration..but it won't let me.
