Turkey Day Activities!

Yippeeeee! I am so thankful we have the next 5 days off from school! Today was a busy day with our grade level Author's Celebration and wrapping up all the activities we had planned for today. The kids LOVED the Turkey Fact/Opinion craftivity where they got to make a turkey (cutesy fun stuff they NEVER get to do anymore <insert sad face here>) and then differentiate between fact and opinion. See, it wasn't just arts and crafts...it had actual/relevant learning too! :) We used Mrs. Lemons' "Let's Be Thankful!" activities found in her unit here that is full of really great activities and fun projects for the kids. I'd definitely use it again next year!

Her unit also has lots of center activities the kids completed during workshop time. They enjoyed working on those too!

Enjoy your holiday! Happy Thanksgiving!
