New Year's Resolutions Day 3: Professional Growth

Hello again! For today's resolution, I'm linking up with Amanda from One Extra Degree to talk professional growth. I've been reflecting on my past professional developments and think that investing in teacher education or professional growth programs is one of the best investments a school can make. With highly trained and knowledgeable teachers, a school can really flourish. It may not be the only performance booster in a school, but it sure can help. I'll step off my soapbox... :) Now onto my goals for professional development:

1) Receive my National Board Certification

A National Board Certification is an advanced teaching credential given to teachers that have met high standards through study, expert evaluation, self-assessment and peer review. It's not an easy task, however, it's my next major goal!

 2) Project GLAD Tier II training
Project GLAD is a wonderful instructional teaching model for a balanced literacy approach. I've been trained in the first tier and can't wait to dive into a deeper understanding of this awesome program!

3) Create more TPT units
This is a goal near and dear to me. I recently launched my first two Teachers Pay Teachers units and feel super excited to create many more! It takes up all a lot of my free time (HA! Free time...what's that?) but it's definitely a rewarding feeling knowing that I'm contributing to my fellow teacher colleagues. :)
