Clutter-Free Classroom Challenge #6

Hi everyone! I'm starting this week off right with a challenge from A Clutter-Free Classroom! This challenge called for streamlining my teacher resources/curriculum and create an organized place to store it. Now, if you work or have worked with me at any point, you know this challenge made me one happy gal. My classroom is organized and clean...not just health department-clean, but Monica-clean! (Friends fans anyone???)
My curriculum has to be in order and easily accessible.  I don't like to dig through piles of junk paper and I hate last minute planning. I wish I wasn't like this. I would save myself tons of time and my sanity. But it's in my DNA to be like this and so naturally I had to find a way to make my obsessive neat-freak self happy. I've come up with teacher binders that I organize by theme or subject (see below for an example). Inside each binder is a table of contents so I can locate activities even faster. I go through these at the beginning of the year to make sure it's all relevant. My rule of thumb is if I haven't used it in 2 years, it's out!
Teacher resources in binders
I also keep other teacher resources (Spectrum Phonics, Science guides, test prep etc.) in magazine files. Each file is organized by teaching subject i.e. phonics, science, math, test prep. I go through these every year or so to make sure I really need it.
More resources in magazine files
My teacher created file folder games are all found in one area. I also keep them in plastic magazine files and group them together by season.

File folder games for independent centers (ignore the misplaced sight word file LOL!)
How do you organize your teacher resources? Link up with A Clutter-Free Classroom so we can hear all about it! :) Happy Monday!
