Show and Tell Tuesday!

Hi all! Today I'm linking up with Denise at Sunny Days in Second Grade for Show and Tell Tuesday! This week we're sharing all the wonderful things happening in our classroom.
In social studies, we wrapped up our economics unit, so I wanted to launch Corinna Gandara's Beach Bucks Classroom Money System.  If you haven't checked it out, do it! It's pretty awesome. The students are given "Beach Bucks" for doing their classroom jobs, school work, making good choices, etc. It's such a wonderful way to get students excited about using money and being responsible. So far, it's worked like a charm! The kids LOVE the fact that they'll get a paycheck on Fridays and that they'll get to cash it at the "bank." They can then use their earnings to purchase fun items at our student store.
The students got to decorate their money envelopes! Love the planet theme this little guy chose! :)
I even caught one of my students whispering to another student, "I can't wait for payday on Friday!" How adorable is that?!?

What's been happening in your classroom lately?

  1. Thanks for linking up to Show and Tell Tuesday! I'm going to have to check out Corinna's idea, I've been hearing lots of good things about it AND we just finished money, so this seems like perfect timing :)
