IT'S OCTOBER PEOPLE!! The first of the month is always my favorite because we get to link up with Farley and I get to find so many other fabulous blogs! :)
Listening: to I Am Legend on T.V. It wouldn't be October without a scary movie, right?? Yes, I am super scared of zombies, but I love movies with them! Zombieland anyone??
Loving: my new students! It had been a few years since I had taught 3rd and I was realllllly nervous about it, but now I am SOOO thrilled to be teaching these kiddos! They are learning to become more independent in and out of the classroom! It's kind of refreshing! They are also so smart and are impressing me more and more with their public speaking abilities! I'll have another blog post explaining our 3rd grade project-based homework and how we have each student present their weekly assignment in a 1 minute oral presentation to the class. Stepping it up with the common core!
Thinking: about our spring break plans! I know, shouldn't I be planning our winter break plans? I'm currently in denial about turning 30 (GASP!!!) this December. So, if my winter break plans don't include turning back time and drinking loads of wine to make me feel better, then I'm not planning anything! Nope. NOT EVEN A PARTY. But Mr. Rossi, if you're reading this, this still means I want a party!!! This does not excuse you from your husbandly duties!!!
Wanting: FALL weather! Mother Nature is stressing me out! She's like a chorus out of Katy Perry's "Hot N Cold." PICK ONE ALREADY!
Needing: more time to plan and create common core aligned lessons. My teammates and I are creating great CCSS lessons and assessments, but really wish we had more time to plan and prepare for all these lessons! I have to admit, it's been REALLY difficult not having a "curriculum" to follow in ELA. I've been so used to having SOMETHING to rely on...now we rely on our knowledge of the CCSS! On a brighter note, I made time to create Farley's interactive door today! YIPEEEEE!! See? More planning time equals fun projects. ;)
Trick or Treat: TREAT! I'm hosting a SPOOKTACULAR Halloween giveaway soon! Make sure to check back this week for a post about all the great prizes and bloggers joining in on the FUN!
Link up with Farley to share your currently!

That interactive door is fantastic! Oh how I wish I was crafty! Can't wait for your giveaway! (I think three exclamation points were too many for such a short sentence - I must be tired.)

Hope your winter AND spring break plans are both fabulous! I'm already thinking about our summer plans - trying to get down to Mexico for a week-long trip to do absolutely nothing except lounge on the beach and drink drinks w/ little umbrellas in them! :) I'd love some cooler weather, as well.
