Here I am again linking up with one of my most favorite bloggy friends Tara from 4th Grade Frolics for her Monday Made It! I'm 5 for 5, my friends!
Today I'm sharing my latest classroom decor craft! Here's what you'll need for this one:
- scissors
- cardboard letters (from JoAnn's)
- Scotch Expressions tape
Step 1: Cut a piece of the Expressions tape and lay it across the top of the cardboard letter.
Step 2: Do this step as you alternate the various Expressions tape designs (I used 2, you could use more).
Step 3: Tuck in the tape into any crevices or holes in your letter and smooth out any creases.
Step 4: Do this until you've decorated the whole letter! :)
Here's what I came up with...
Ta-da! It fit perfectly on my little teacher shelf near my desk. And yes, that is also Scotch Expressions tape on the edge of my plain wooden shelf...what can I say?? It needed a little color! :)
I was inspired by my sweet bloggy friend Jennifer from First Grade Blue Skies and make a Vegas FB timeline picture!! It's the perfect way to let your readers know you'll be heading to Vegas! This is what I made using my own Melonheadz mini me! :)
I also made one without my Sailing into Second logo so you can add it to your FB timeline too!! :) Just click HERE to download one for yourself.
What will you share on Tara's Monday Made It?
That's really cute! I have wanted to do a monogram to hang on my door- I could probably do it that way!

I love the idea of using the Expression tape! I still have 2 full rolls from a previous project. I just wish I had a fun capital letter for a last name (O's aren't as fun as R's hehe). Thanks for sharing!

Well you're the cutest! I love all of these things :)
ReplyDeleteLove the R; it turned out great! I am thoroughly impressed with your tape wrapping skills-that's trickier than it looks. Nice job! I can't wait for Vegas!!

Last year, I bought the word 'READ' in wood letters from a Pick Your Plum special. I wanted to decorate it, but never figured out how. I'll try the Scotch expressions take and see how it works!

Thank you so much for the fun Vegas image! I don't have a Facebook teacher page, but I can't wait to put it up on my personal page, and put it up on my blog! I hope to meet you there too!!

Adorable! I always try to resist the temptation of buying the Scotch Expressions tape...but you're making it really difficult!
