Five for Friday...Lazy Sunday Edition!

Pardon my tardiness this week...it was my 1st week back to school at a new school, new district, new everything! But I'm happy to share it all went fabulous and I can't wait to keep sharing all the wonderful things planned for my 3rd graders this year. I'm linking up this lovely 3-day weekend with Doodle Bugs Teaching to share my Five for Friday!

1) Started my 1st week at my new school! Still teaching 3rd grade! Sneak peek at my classroom! I'll be posting a reveal this coming week...

2) We have the copy/workroom of our teacher dreams! Do you see all the organized and labeled drawers?!? It's so CLEAN and ORGANIZED! I think I died and went to copy room heaven!

3) I had my students participate in a team building activity where they had to build a marshmallow tower. The trick was they had to work as a team and build the highest structure. I was so impressed at how each team really worked together and tried to come up with different strategies that would work best for their group. I think I have some future engineers in my class! :)

4) Made these adorable monster bookmarks with my students. They LOVED these! I like how some students created cyclops monsters instead!

5) Went to J.Crew's Educator Event this weekend! The J.Crew by my place decided to reward local teachers by allowing us to shop before store hours and receive an additional discount for another shopping day! They were even sweet enough to have coffee and treats for us while we shopped. Did you know teachers and students get a 15% discount on everything? It's such a great deal! I definitely found some fabulous outfits for school! :) Next trip to J. Crew, I'll be picking up this gorgeous Tartine mini-satchel in Ash!
