The Chromebooks Have Arrived & Currently!

Happy Friday bloggy friends! This has been one of the THE most insanely busy weeks of my teaching career. Did you see my Instagram posts this week? Let's just say that they involve copious amounts of wine. Despite a crazy week, I was super excited for Farley's currently!!

Listening: Can you believe I've never seen Fargo?? My hubby and I just felt like putting something on we hadn't seen before...and WOW! It was pretty good! We were both pleasantly surprised, don't cha know!

Loving: The Chromebooks have arrived!! Our district is currently piloting a 1:1 program with the Google Chromebooks. I'm one of the lucky teachers in our district that gets to have these bad boys in the classroom for EACH student. That's right, EACH kid gets their own Chromebook to take home and bring to school everyday like a textbook. So far, 1,200 Chromebooks have been issued to our pilot classrooms and a successful program will mean that the majority of our district’s 9,200 students would have a Chromebook that they can take home next year. Education is changing my friends!! I'll be sure to do another tech post on how we're using them in the classroom. But so far, so good! :)

using Google docs to create and collaborate on a group reflection!
Thinking: About my new beautiful Hello Fonts! I just forked over some big bucks to purchase a license to use them in products. If you haven't downloaded her gorgeous fonts, you can do that here! My fave is Hello Pippi! What's yours??

Wanting: Feb. 28th to get here real quick! I can't wait for the SoCal Blogger Bash happening this month!  I mean, have you heard who's gonna be there? Only the most amazing bloggy friends like Hadar from Miss Kindergarten, Michelle from Apples and ABC's, Deanna Jump, Teeny Tiny...seriously folks...too many awesome people for one sentence. If you're in SoCal, come meet your favorite bloggers and have tons of fun! :)
Needing: Sleep. This week was full of events like Multicultural Night, Living Wax Museum, Science Week, Chromebook roll-out, etc. Let's just say that two glasses of wine did not cut it!
2 truths and a fib:
Fib: Never met Giada. Would LOOOOVE to, but haven't met her yet! She signed a cookbook for my birthday, but my sister-in-law was the lucky gal who got to meet her!

Truth: I was featured (and my students) in a public service ad for JCP and Adopt-a-Classroom this summer! It was even on the VH1 Do Something Awards...so I'm a little bit famous! ;) Not really. But you can read about that here!

Truth: I think goats are so freaking adorable and cute! Baby goats are even cuter! Weird...I know! But I'll leave you with this image for you to decide!
Adorable, right?!?
Don't forget to link up with Farley for her February currently! :)

  3. Umm my FarmBoy had a Goat Farm. They are like giant puppies!!!! What I found amazing was how when they are only one day old they are already hopping around and trying to head but the air. It is so instinctual I guess. Extra awesome rainbows for Chromebooks!! :)

  12. Hi doll,
We just got our Chromebooks and love them. I think I posted on your other post with some kinks I've had to work out. I just bought Jen Jones' fonts the day before the price went up. Best 20 bucks I've spent. Still figuring out which ones are my fave. I'm so glad you're going to the Blogger Bash, let's meet up!
