Summer Review...For BIG Kids!

Happy hump day! I don't know about you, but this month was BUSY! Here's what's been going down in Room 21!

We finished the SBAC testing...WOWZERS is all I can say about that test! Anyone else amazed at this new test?? Keyword...GLITCHES. We're also getting our tooshies into gear and finishing up all of our open house projects and crafts. Open house is about 3 weeks away for us and I have a whole beach/ocean theme ready for that night! I can't wait to show you all the pictures! We're using Buzzing About Second Grade's scuba diver craft and table decor and Hope King's Dive into Summer writing project. I hope it all comes together nicely! AND, my sweet friend Corinne from CB Cake Pops is making me THESE babies!! Wish me luck friends!!

I was also thinking about what I was going to send home over the summer for my students. Last year, Hope's summer buckets were the best thing to send home with my 2nd graders...but this year, I found myself needing something more challenging and rigorous...for my BIG kids! So, I decided to get MY tooshie into gear and whip up this summer review/fun pack for BIG kids! Here's a little sneak peek of what I'm working on at the moment!

I'll be adding multiplication and division practice, daily oral language review, writing, reading lists and project ideas, science, as well as fun art projects.
