Hello sweet friends! I'm so excited to be a part of this SoCal blog hop! This beachy themed blog hop features your favorite SoCal bloggers, a GREAT giveaway, and some great freebies along the way!
Here's a little sneak peek into my beach town, Redondo Beach! For those of you not very familiar with the SoCal area, my cozy little beach town is one of the three Beach Cities located in LA, California.
There's Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, and Manhattan Beach! All 3 are such fun places to hang out, enjoy the sun, and dine at the local gastropubs and restaurants! Our favorite place to eat is Zane's on the Hermosa Beach Pier. OH MY WORD. Perfection!! They have the BEST cioppino (or Cacciucco) outside of the ones in Italy and the no corkage fee isn't too shabby either! ;)
Did you know that you can also enjoy the "beach" in your own classroom?!? My Catch a Wave Centers are the perfect addition to your beach or summer classroom activities.
This beach themed unit contains 6 literacy centers aligned with the Common Core standards. Each center is ready to be used as soon as you print, laminate, and cut everything out! All activities include instructions, activity cards, and a response/recording sheet. Includes 6 different activities:
1) Sandcastle Synonyms
2) Cruisin' Compound Words
3) Anchors Away Antonyms
4) Starfish Syllables
5) Fun in the Sun ABC Order
6) Whale of a Tale Writing

Cute freebie! Thank you! :)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely adorable! I grew up in Torrance, so Redondo, Manhattan and Hermosa are my childhood playground!
ReplyDeleteSo many questions pop up - why is it called a "gastropub?" And what's "cioppino" anyway? I've been to Italy and don't recall having anything called cioppino! I might have to come to Cali to try it out, maybe. :)
